Unique pieceThreshold
Mixed process, hand-worked
Threshold is the first piece in the Singular program — unique works that exist in one physical instance only. It represents the boundary condition of the Vanguartisan process: three systems, one surface, one maker's hand.

Three generative systems were run in sequence, each seeded by the output state of the previous. The initial system was a cellular automaton; the second a particle physics simulation; the third a flow-field renderer. The final composite was printed at archival scale and then physically worked with dry pigment and a paring knife — removing material to reveal underlying structure. Time from first seed to completion: 11 days.
